The 8th Czech Gay and Lesbian Film Festival MEZIPATRA 2007 is held under the auspices of Mr. Václav Havel and MUDr. Pavel Bém, the Mayor of Prague.

In Brno the festival takes place from 26th October to 3rd November in the Art and Břetislav Bakala cinemas, in Prague from 5th to 11th November in the Světozor and Oko cinemas. Regional echoes of the festival will take place in Olomouc and Český Těšín.

The main theme of this edition is Rebellion. The program includes two retrospecive profiles of outstanding filmmakers, who will prsonally attend the festival: John Greyson (Canada) and Ulrike Ottinger (Germany).

A special section Passing the Test mapps out representations of gays and lesbians in Czech cinema of the past 18 years.
