This is What Love In Action Looks Like

Documentaries Feature and Short

It took just one brave 16-year-old blogger to cause a shift in the nation’s mindset and trigger a huge debate, where CNN and The New York Times are joining in and Congress is passing a new bill. Five years ago, Zach was slightly worried about coming out to his parents, but fairly optimistic to find them to be understanding. Their reaction was to immediately send their son into a re-educational Christian camp, specializing in curing homosexuality that is referred to as addictive behaviour. The camp’s name is“Love in Action.” Gripping, fresh and at an Y Generation fast-pace, this documentary maps out five years of the affair and the avalanche of reactions it provoked. Zach himself opens up on camera for the first time; then other survivors of the forced treatment give testimonies; also Zach’s friends and supporters, who started the protest campaign speak out. Through a meticulous selection of news coverage and television interviews, successfuly cured “ex-gays” and fundamentalist camp representatives also take the stage.
