Skadi Loist

Skadi Loist works at the Institute for Media Research of the University of Rostock, Germany, and cofounded the Film Festival Research Network. She obtained a PhD with a thesis discussing Performative Aspects of LGBT/Q Film Festivals and has published, academically and journalistically, on media industries and gender theory with a focus on film festivals and queer cinema. Since 2002, she has worked with the Hamburg Int’l Queer Film Festival, served as board member, published a book for its 20th anniversary and organized a conference for its 25th.

 

Petra Soukupová

She was born in 1982 and studied screenwriting and script editing at FAMU. Since 2011, she has been working as a script editor for the TV show Ulice and has contributed to the script of the sitcom Comeback (2008-2010). She has published four successful books for adults (e.g. To the Seaside, To Disappear) and one book for children. Since 2009, she has been contributing short stories to the anthologies of Listen publishing house. She lives and works in Prague. Her novels have been published in four countries (Slovenia, Poland, Italy and Bulgaria) and the rights have also been sold to Croatia, Hungary and Bosnia.

 

Saša Michailidis

Saša Michailidis’s voice is known to the listeners of the radio programmes “Five O'clock Film” (Čaj o páté) and “Bold Thumbs” (Odvážné palce) broadcast by the Prague-based Radio 1. He started at this alternative station – which used to broadcast from the underground premises of the Stalin memorial in Letna park – as a film publicist in 1993. Since then, he has taken turns at this station working as a host, DJ, sound engineer, programme director, and director. He has also worked as an editor and director of film slots for the television programme “Paskvil” (Czech Television), as an editor for Cinema magazine, and as a producer, scriptwriter and director for the Czech Film Critics' Awards ceremony. Now he also works for HBO and cooperates with the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
