“We ♥ Butts” is not only a German collective of photographers, but also an organiser of sex parties. Its founder Mark Walder was driven by the idea of creating sex-positive and body-positive spaces. Sex and photography are two forms of communication for him to shape these spheres. We will introduce samples of their work and a special calendar selection at café Patra. The exhibition is not suitable for children.

Birgit Bosold became the first woman to head the Schwules Museum in Berlin. Her leadership brought to life the successful Homosexualität_en exhibition three years ago. In the early 1970s, lesbian feminists in the US invented the utopian concept of complete separation of women from male dominated society. Ramzi Fawaz, associate professor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will explore how the films Zardoz (1974) and Born in Flames (1983) visually imagined what a separatist society might look like and discuss the imaginative critiques of lesbian feminist values that experimental cinema offered.
