How do queer voices sound, what rhythm do they have and does the society listen to them enough? We talked about queer voices and sounds in the discussion TRIGGER: Sound, Music and Voices of the Queer Community organized together with Synth Library Prague and their Trigger-System musical education program that focuses on music diversity and the system of control not only in the field of music technology.

At a delicious brunch in Patra café we had the unique opportunity to meet one of the members of our main jury: Stuart Richards, an expert on queer cinema and the author of The Queer Film Festival: Popcorn and Politics. The discussion called Popcorn an politics on the direction of queer festivals and queer culture in general was hosted by Mezipatra’s former director, Aleš Rumpel.

Ouch on the Couch – DRAG TOUCH! That was a wild party where we could experience the atmosphere of New York and the iconic club kids. Stars of the program: Angelina Angelic, Therese Rosier with Chlorophyll von Needle, Hayley THE STRANGE and Gia Jones

We have celebrated the closing of Prague part of the festival in Lucerna. We awarded the winning films - the best feature film We the Animals and the best short film Pre-Drink and danced to the music at Show Us Some Love party.

See what the weekend November 9-11, 2018 looked like at Mezipatra in Prague. Screenings, discussions, brunch and much more. Other photos can be found on our Facebook, where we regularly add more news and events!

The 19th edition of Mezipatra started with gala opening in Lucerna with the austrian film L'Animale. The following thematic party Wildlife hosted our favourite DJs Urxins, Step by Step and Nevinnost at the turntable. And just like every year, we enjoyed special Jameson drinks.

This year we started the festival even before the opening ceremony in Lucerna, with the exhibition Connections in Patra.

Our festival trailer premiered on October 16 at the community café Patra, where our program director Sandra Hezinová presented the most anticipated films of this year's program with the theme "Beyond reality". Many thanks to Absolut for the welcome drinks!

Thank you for the beautiful afternoon and see you next year (or preferably in November at our festival)!

Our program Identity in the city in Kasárna Karlín ended with expats for which Prague became their home. In the discussion moderated by the comedian Lucie Macháčková we talked with Tasya Nafigena, Sam Grattan and Emmanuel Rivero about the reflection of Czech queer life. For screening on the eve of the parade, we chose Mike Nichols' The Birdcage. Thanks for a great participation!
