Thank you for the beautiful afternoon and see you next year (or preferably in November at our festival)!
Our program Identity in the city in Kasárna Karlín ended with expats for which Prague became their home. In the discussion moderated by the comedian Lucie Macháčková we talked with Tasya Nafigena, Sam Grattan and Emmanuel Rivero about the reflection of Czech queer life. For screening on the eve of the parade, we chose Mike Nichols' The Birdcage. Thanks for a great participation!
On Thursday, we talked about an increasing number of children and adolescents addressing their gender identity. Among the speakers were the organizer of queer-teens workshops Glynis Hull-Rochelle, sociologist Lucie Jarkovská and psychologist Jiří Procházka. Bára Šichanová took the lead. We finished the evening with the screening of Ancher and Hope.
On Wednesday, we talked about history (and current state) of an alternative queer scene where women always played an integral part. Among the participants were a college teacher and a former member of Zuby Nehty group Pavla Jonsson, artist NikTimková and organizer of Chee Chaak festival Zuzana Šrámková. The discussion was moderated by Bára Votavová.
We started the first evening of our program Identity in the city within Prague Pride 2018 with a pub quizu. Congratulations to the team Gay Watch, who won the prize for the first place!
