Dry Wind / Vento Seco

International Feature Film Competition

The scorched Brazilian countryside is hot, dry, and sometimes also pretty sultry, not only because of the local climate -- especially for Sandro, who enjoys getting carried away into the world of wild erotic fantasies. His life as an employee at the local factory passes slowly between the shifts and hours spent at home, but when he meets Ricardo, the days suddenly get exciting. The prospects of getting close to Ricardo are foiled by the appearance of Maicon, who, however, ends up taking Ricardo’s place as Sandro’s new obsession. In fact, Sandro’s hungry gaze belongs not only to Ricard or Maicon, but also to other men, to numerous other men… Which of them will get the body of the other? And anyway, isn’t monogamy anachronistic? Daniel Nolasco’s provocatively extravagant debut about desire in its purest form will take you into a world of untamed imagination, where everything is subjected to lust, longing for love and desire for intimacy. This original film had its world premiere at this year’s Berlinale and has been called nothing less than an uninhibited gay Odyssey.

This film was adopted by William Arthur Kastl. Thank You!

The Q&A with Daniel Nolasco will take place on 9th November 2020 at 6 pm. Watch the Mezipatra LIVE stream from the studio on our Facebook and Youtube.
