The Call

International Short Film Competition

Getting the news of a parent’s death is one of the most painful moments in life. But what if you also learn that because of your gender identity, you weren’t allowed to say goodbye to your mother? And that you may come to the funeral only if you deny your identity? The first Cypriot film with a transgender theme speaks with great sensitivity about family relationships that may never be mended.
