"Dearest friends, November by far does not belong to the steamiest* months of the year. Nevertheless, this year we are awaiting a considerable heat wave between 8-22 November. On this undulating warm front, movie-goers hungry for tickets can get them at Lucerna and Světozor cinemas. The barometric tendency of viewers will moderately increase and festival goers flowing into other parts of the metropolis cannot be ruled out. Mayor of Prague, Bohuslav Svoboda, wishes the organizers and attendees of the 13th annual Mezipatra a successful and entertaining festival.

In its mere thirteen years of existence, Mezipatra Queer Film Festival achieved what respectable public institutions have been striving towards for decades. It has opened up a space for discussion, for deconstructing of stereotypes, for delving into taboo topics while respecting a variety of opinions and points of view. As a result, we are constantly forced to reflect upon our attitudes and values. All of this comes along with the unique artistic experience the festival has to offer. In a limited time and space, Mezipatra thus has become a "university" of tolerance. Masaryk University, which aims at fostering critical thought, considers Mezipatra QFF as a natural ally in the fulfilment of its mission.
