The spirit of Mezipatra lies in the best movies and some major parties, without question. And what better time to remind ourselves of this proud spirit than on Wednesday, April 30, also known as “burning of the witches day”? Let’s welcome spring at the first Mezipatra-Approved event of the season: the screening of the honest drama Any Day Now, which starts at 8:45 p.m. in the cinema Lucerna, and the Any Witch Bitch party that starts at Café Neustadt at 10 p.m.
Why Any Day Now? Because it's a movie that you will not get a chance to see every day, which means it fits with the “Mezipatra-Approved” philosophy. Periodically, we give you the opportunity to see movies whose quality is guaranteed and that make the festival what it is, easily selling out the theatres at Světozor or Lucerna, and leaving the audience speechless. The screening of Any Day Now, which won the Audience Award at last year's Mezipatra, begins in Lucerna at 8:45 p.m., so don’t let this chance slip by to watch an instant classic, starring Alan Cumming.
Right after the screening, we invite you to the nearby Café Neustadt to attend this year's first Mezipatra party, the one with fire and witch-bitches. The event is called Any Witch Bitch, and it starts at 10 p.m. Mezipatra resident DJs Urxins will be playing for you, and they have invited the young DJ KEWU and the big blond DJ Big Destiny to join them. With a ticket from Lucerna, the party is free of charge, otherwise entry is 80 CZK.
P.S. Thursday is a national holiday, so let's party until the early morning.
