We know very well that coming out to the family is often not as we imagine. It’s hard to guess whether to expect a hug, tears or insults. And it’s harder for our hero: his parents haven’t even heard that there’s something like gays! So instead of facing rejection, he must first explain how anal works or that he’s not attracted to his own father although he’s a man.
