International Feature Film CompetitionAlthough Cheol-jun has escaped North Korea, he still doesn’t feel truly free. All he wants is to speak openly, just once, about his queer identity, but his friends from the integration center are too conservative. His increasingly unbearable loneliness pushes him to overcome his introverted nature and seek out the local gay community. At a speed-dating party, he meets the chatty Yeong-jun, who takes him under his wing and introduces him to the hidden world of queer Seoul. Will Cheol-jun find the courage to open up to others as well? Director Joonho Park’s feature debut is a sensitive and compassionate tale of North Korean refugees, their isolation, and longing for belonging.
