The 24th Queer Film Festival Mezipatra will present a selection of feature films and documentaries about the LGBTQ+ community this year under the theme of "Crossroads." Our everyday lives are woven with various decisions, some of them are small, like what to wear in the morning, or whether to go to the cinema or a party. Some crossroads, however, profoundly impact our lives:

"The protagonists of this year's films grapple with complex questions that may be familiar to many of us... Is it worth continuing a relationship that has run its course? How can we help our parents accept the identity of their own child? Every action we take is a choice that influences the direction of society. We wish you the strength to make the right choices – both in selecting films from this year's program and in life's crossroads," said the festival's program coordinator, Kristýna Genttnerová.

The new festival trailer is also in line with the theme. It was created by producer and director Martina Štrunc, with music composed by Vladivojna La Chia. According to the director, the theme is universally understandable: "I chose a path of a general principle, where in human relationships, we constantly find ourselves at crossroads, regardless of our gender identity or whether we date someone of the same or different gender than what we feel we belong to," she explains.

The premiere will take place on Saturday, October 14th, at Kino Petrohradská in Prague's Vršovice district, and admission is free. The event will also include the presentation of this year's festival film and accompanying program, as well as the start of ticket sales. Until October 21st, festival passes are also available at discounted prices for 750 Kč, allowing access to seven screenings for the price of five, online or at the box offices of Světozor, Lucerna, Kino 35, and Edison FilmHub cinemas.
