Little Girl / Petite Fille

International Feature Film Competition

Seven-year-old Sasha has always known she was a girl. Her parents and siblings accept her identity and try to support her in every possible way. But outside their home, the family faces obstacles and incomprehension, especially from the management of the school that Sasha attends. This triggers an endless marathon between Sasha’s form teacher and her doctor, who tries to help and provides explanatory reports, but it is still not enough for the school… Double Teddy Award winner Sébastien Lifshitz comes with an intimate, touching and fragile film about the everyday wins and losses experienced by the family as they fight for the acceptance of Sasha’s identity.
