Ben is a sixteen-year-old trans boy living in a village in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands (Vysočina). He makes up for the lack of understanding he experiences in his surroundings in the online-world, spends time with his best friend, a rat, and dreams of a better future. But his everyday reality is rife with incomprehension from his classmates, his own family, which strongly affects Ben’s identity, and the society in which he longs to fit in as the young man he is.
