The Mezipatra Festival is entering a new era. Kristýna Genttnerová, who has been part of the festival since 2018 and has led the programming team for the past two years, has taken over as its director. She succeeds Pavel Bicek and, together with the new program coordinator Jakub Knott, introduces several new developments.

What’s New This Year

The 26th edition of Mezipatra comes with a fresh curatorial approach. Instead of the traditional annual motto, the festival will now revolve around two main thematic lines connecting the film program with discussions and the industry section. One will focus on the V4 countries, while the other will explore the global issue of restrictions on trans people’s freedoms.

This year’s program will also feature midnight screenings, post-film discussions with experts, and a retrospective of iconic women directors – all with the aim of offering a more diverse and personal experience.

A new era also brings a new visual identity, designed by Petr Menhart. His inspiration came from the idea of Mezipatra as a safe space where people can meet, share experiences, and be themselves. We hope you’ll love our new look!
