Have you missed any of the short films during Mezipatra? Now you have a unique chance at Prague Quadriennale (PQ). We have prepared special screenings in cooperation with Neone where we will screen the best of shorts on June 10 from 8:30 p.m.

Apart from seeing the films The Nettle, The Rabbi, BobbyAnna, Hi, It's Your Mother, The Mess He Made nebo The World in Your Window you can also buy our merchandising there. Follow the FB event for fresh info.

We participate in the FILIP 20 event, which celebrates the twentieth birthday of a boy who committed suicide at the age of 14 because of the homophobic views present in the society. As part of this queer meetup, we will screen the successful film Love, Simon and a special selection of short films about queer children and families. We look forward to seeing you on March 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Kampus Hybernská (Hybernská 4, Prague 1).

Submit your film to the 20th edition of Mezipatra Queer Film Festival which takes place in November 2018 in Prague (Nov. 7–14, 2019) and Brno (Nov. 15–22, 2019), Czech Republic. Cinematic works of any length and genre created after January 1, 2018, and meeting the criteria mentioned in the Rules and Regulations section, can be submitted by July 20, 2019.

This year at Berlinale, the 33rd Teddy Award will be given to the best queer films on February 15, 2019. An international jury consisting of seven members from all over the world will also welcome Sandra Hezinová, Program Director of Mezipatra. Congratulations! The ceremony will take place at Volksbühne Berlin (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, 10178 Berlin) and there are still some tickets available!

Thank you very much for your support this year and many unforgettable experiences. In 2019, we wish you the best, a lot of queer love and (not only) film inspiration. And if you still do not have a plan for tonight, dance with us at Patra on Thank You, Next! New Year's Eve party. We look forward to meeting you wherever will it be!

Still don't know where to celebrate the entry to the new year? Good, because you probably felt that you were gonna find out about the perfect party soon. And you were right! Come to Patra to dance through the New Year's Eve at Thank you, next! party. At the entrance you will get a glass of frizzante and then listen to our (almost resident) DJs Tasya and Nevinnost. Other DJs will join them during the night.

There can never be enough great queer films. That's why we have prepared a traditional online project in co-operation with Czech Television. Until the end of the year, you have a unique chance to watch a selection of short films from last year's Mezipatra. If you have missed any film or want to recall your favorite, go to the Mezipatra page on the CT website and see what we have chosen for you.

Audiences in Prague and Brno chose their winner - The Miseducation of Cameron Post directed by Desiree Akhavan. Congratulations!

Being an outsider is no reason to think of yourself as inferior. Actually, quite the reverse. Let your freak flag fly! True, Cameron is dating a boy, but she’s in love with a girl in her class. When the truth comes out, her guardians decide on a drastic step. They send her to re-education in a special Christian institution for adolescents. The picture with Chloë Moretz starring as Cameron also took the Grand Jury Prize in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at this year’s Sundance Festival.

The end of Mezipatra in Brno starts at 20:30 (8:30 pm) at Scala cinema. Wait, what, the end? Do not worry, we will see each other the next year again. We are going to hear a speech, then the announcement of the winning films and the handover of the prize awaits.

After the prologue we continue with a film, which is going to premiere in the Czech cinemas for the first time. Pink Narcissus is a cult film about a young male prostitute, who escapes into exciting erotic adventurous dreams. The picture was shot on 8mm film and its creation took almost seven years. Today you have a unique opportunity to see Pink Narcissus screened directly from 35mm film.

But the evening is not over yet! After the screening we will go to a nontraditional place at Gallery TIC, where the Closing party is held. We have to say a proper goodbye after all, right?

Sex, pain, dominance. At 18:00 (6:00 pm) you can come to discuss BDSM with a prominent Czech rigger Edna. We are going to learn about these kinks at Gallery TIC.

The film Sauvage offers a blunt insight into nooks that normally remain hidden. Past of the main character is unknown to us, his future uncertain. The only stable point is the present where he sells his body in the streets and his only escape from reality is provided by drugs. The screening is at 20:30 (8:30 pm) at Scala cinema. But the Wednesday’s program is not over just yet. We continue with projection of film My Own Private Hell at 23:00 (11:00 pm) where we visit a cosy bar. The motionless calm is disrupted by the arrival of a handsome sailor. Come find out secrets about his dark past!
