However, the show goes on! Mezipatra in Brno will officially start on Thursday Nov. 10 with the Opening at 7:00 pm in Scala cinema. Before then, you can visit the opening of the Be Your Own Champion exhibition on Wednesday Nov. 9 from 6:00 pm at ArtBar Druhý Pád.

Frankie lives with his younger sister, mother and fatally ill father. He fights bitterness and frustration with drinking with a questionable bunch of friends, taking drugs and having occasional sex with older men. Director Eliza Hittman's film Beach Rats, which dazzled the audience in Cannes, won the Grand Jury prize at 18th Mezipatra. You can see the melancholic coming-of-age film at 8:30 pm in Světozor cinema. As a bonus you will see the awarded short film Transition (Tranzicija) on the beginning.
