Press release: Program change in Mezipatra Queer Film Festival – The Imitation Game listed in the printed material program tips
Morten Tyldum's autobiographical drama, The Imitation Game, about the British mathematician and logician Alan Turing (starring Benedict Cumberbatch), which was supposed to be introduced in Czech premiere at the international Queer Film Festival Mezipatra (6th - 22nd November), has been removed from program by the distributor. Three weeks before the festival's opening, Forum Film Czech Republic & Slovakia company cancelled the film's release, which had been duly confirmed by the company's representatives, without providing any reason. The director of the international section of the worldwide distribution services of the FilmNation company has stated that, based on the creators' decision, the film is now not to be presented at festivals outside the countries of origin (UK, USA). According to the official information up-to-date, the film will be released in cinemas in 2015.
